385 m a.s.l. >>Small resort with 5'000 inhabitants, in the eastern part of the region, 60 km south from Sta. Cruz de Tenerife. In the resort: supermarket, shops, restaurant, bar, attractions. Town open to the sea, on the southern slope of the island. Along its long coastline there are cliffs and sandy beaches. A characteristic of this area is the colour of the earth due to its volcanic past. The main income of the district is from agriculture. In the country houses in the area there are excellent examples of traditional canarian architecture.
