Location Description Skals

Small resort with 1'800 inhabitants, in the southern part of the region 3 km from the sea, in the countryside, 14 km north from Viborg, 30 km east from Skive, 70 km south-west from Ålborg. In the resort: supermarket, bakery. Indoor aquatic centre, wellness centre, fitness centre at 14 km. Besides: pharmacy 14 km, doctor. More possibilities for shopping and entertainment 14 km. Sights World Map Park at Klejtrup 20 km, Mønsted Lime Pits 27 km, Kids' club Børnens Paradis Skive 30 km, Jesperhus Feriepark 60 km, lakes nearby.

Summer

All watersports available in Virksund Strand 12 km. Sandy beach, 2 km long, up to 20 m wide, gently sloping, with beach facilities, suitable for children, 12 km from the resort. Surfing. Golf course 27 hole in Hjarbæk Fjord Golfcenter 9 km. Fishing (permit required). Hiking paths. Bicycle paths. At the Liim Fiord you will find tranquil water, fresh air, vast moor landscapes, characteristic nature and a rich animal life. The area offers lovely natural experiences for those, who prefer quiet surroundings, activities, water sport and culture. Experience for instance the moors of Jutland. The moors are especially beautiful in the late summer when the heather is in flower. The hilly fiord landscape has many child-friendly beaches with shallow and calm water, where the young ones can play in the sand or look for amber.
