Climate

Cosy city, in the southern part of the region, convenient, 18 km north-west from P.N del Cabo de Gata. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: access via a good road. Railway station in the resort. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Almería (LEI) 10 km. Almeria has kept its Islamic fortress as well as its harbour part of the celiphate of Cordoba until 1489. Interesting fishing harbour. Of tourist interest: the picturesque suburbs of "La Chanca" (groups of white houses). Parque Natural del CAbo de Gata, surrounded by beaches, fishing towns, bird observatory, bays and cliffs for fishing and diving. Celebration of the Olympic Mediterranean Games in 2005.
