Village with 8'000 inhabitants, in the western part of the region, 43 km south-west from Santander, 25 km south-west from Santillana del Mar, 20 km south-east from S. Vicente de la Barquera. Supermarket, shops, bar, attractions. Access: access via a road. Railway station in the resort. Cuevas de Altamira 25 km. P.N. De Oyambre 15 km. Playas de Oyambre 15 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Santander (SDR), Bilbao (BIO), Asturias (OVD). ideal starting point for excurisions to many pretty towns and villages (Barcena Mayor, Comillas and the Medival Santillana de mar, Caves of Altamira). Sandy beaches of Oyambre, large beautiful countryside which forms part of the national park with the same name approx 15km. Golf Course in San Vicente de la Barquera (Golf Sta Marina).
