600 m. >>Makov is a small area situated 600 m above sea level, in the heart of the Kysuce nature reserve, spanning Javorniky and part of the Slovakian Beskides. This was one of the poorest areas of Slovakia up until the end of the 2nd World War. It is now highly developed and is one of the most popular of holiday destinations. The Czech Republic is 1 km away. Roznov pod Radhostem (CZ) 25 km away, Cadca 28 km, Poland 37 km. Ideal for nature lovers and for summer and winter sports. Small resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Bratislava (BTS), Wien International (VIE), Zilina (ILZ).
