Climate
Small farming village, in a valley, 79 km from Rosslare, 220 km from Cork. For arrivals by plane: airport Dublin (1) 80 km. Located in the River Slaney valley in the midst of rich, fertile agricultural land. Tullow is the birthplace of the famous Wolseley family - Federick York Wolseley gave his name to the Wolseley car. Known locally as the granite town because of its stone approach roads as well as its granite public buildings. Mount Wolseley 18-hole golf course is nearby. Tullow Museum is in a small stone church near the Slaney River Bridge. Wonderful ringfort near the village.
