Climate

Small city directly by the sea, 45 km south-west from Waterford, 80 km north-east from Cork. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway N25 Cork - Waterford. Harbour Rosslare 118 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork (ORK) 81 km. This bustling market town and harbour is nestled beneath the Knockmealdown Mountains and overlooking beautiful Dungarvan Bay. Fishing, sailing golfing and horse back riding are readily available locally. Deep sea and in shore fishing are particularly good in this area and fully equipped boats are available locally from Helvick and Dungarvan. There are numerous sandy beach in the area and the city of Waterford, with all amenities and its famous crystal factory and visitor's centre is only a short drive away.
