Youghal is one of Cork's most popular seaside resorts, as well as being one of the most historic and interesting towns in Ireland. Situated at the mouth of the Blackwater river, with salmon fishing, it also has a beach 8 km in length. The walled seaport town is built around an old clock tower and there are many quaysides, old stone buildings, ancient churches and traditional shop fronts. Other attractions include Tyntes Castle, an urban tower house located on the easter side of North Main St. There are many sandy beaches nearby as well pitch and putt, tennis, golf and a variety of water sports. 146 km from Rosslare. 47 km from Cork. 227 km from Dublin.
