Historical, picturesque resort, in the south-western part of the region directly by the sea with beautiful view, 30 km south from Killarney. In the resort: shops, grocers, restaurant, bar, night club, evening entertainment. Besides: chemist, doctor. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork (ORK) 85 km. The area offers beautiful countryside and scenery for nature lovers, historical and archaeological sites of interest, hill walking, cycling, fishing, boating, windsurfing etc. There is also an 18-hole golf course set in wooded parkland.
