Naxos is situated in the centre of the Cyclades islands. It is known for its natural beauty, its mountainous countryside with full green valleys, wide sandy beaches (nearly 92 km of beaches) and a crystal clear sea. Naxos is famous for being a fertile island, with a developed agriculture which produces a fine wine. This has made Naxos one of the last islands to open its doors to tourism. There is a lot to see: the beautiful Byzantine church and the castle and tower remains, archaeological sites and beautiful natural countryside. Picturesque resort.
