Climate
Well-known climatic health resort, 22 km from Freiburg, 40 km from Offenburg, 40 km from Lahr. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. More possibilities for shopping and entertainments 7 - 22 km. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Strassburg (SXB) 60 km, Friedrichshafen (FDH) 160 km. Elzach is picturesquely nestled in the Elz valley and has not only cultural variety but also in its countryside as well as having modern and traditional technology. Excursions to Freiburg, Basel (100 km) and Strasbourg, to Lake Constance (110 km) with all manner of watersports and to the Rhine waterfall at Schaffhausen should not be omitted from any holiday programme.
